Take it to a race track, runs out in a few laps, just like when Clarkson drove the Tesla. Gas motor goes all day long!

I still think we need to wean the public on a better term for addressing the power of an electric motor. Horsepower is such a vague way to describe the power of an electric motor, which depends mostly on current and produces at least twice as much torque as horsepower. I bet the torque numbers are so damn high, that without any kind of electronic control, you'd spin wheel until you hit 40 miles an hour. You'd spin them so fast it would take you days to reach 40 mph, much less if your tires even last. There's no such thing as RPM, and instead of a powerband, you'd get a ... "speed" band, since electric motors will lose horsepower and torque very rapidly once you get faster.

I digress.

The paint job is too crazy. I don't even know how to feel about it. Would love to drive this. Drove a friend's Chevy Volt and was very amused the entire drive. Butter smooth power delivery, handled surprisingly well for being ... a not sports car. And of course, NO noise. Just a strange whirring. Torquey and efficient. Would make city driving practically free. My friend's Volt is used mostly for a 30 minute commute through local roads and he gasses up maybe once every two months. Otherwise, it's sitting on charge mode.
