I'm not one to promote anything illegal in a public forum, but I flat out refuse to rock a front plate on my car. My previous car (VR6 GTI) never had one, I never got a ticket, even when parked downtown. I took the front off of my Z the day I picked her up, and witnessed the damage from the all-too-long bolts on the paint (a respray took care of that).
No one's messed with me so far. It's probably coming, but I'll gladly negotiate and pander. Better that than deface that beautiful grille.
