So they cover tires AND wheels for 5 years even if you replace the OEM tires with something else? If so, the deal is not bad.
Let's say you purchase a tire for $250 at Discount Tire. Their replacement certificate cost around $40 for each, $160 for a set. You'll probably go through 3 or 4 set of tires in 5 years/75K miles. Total cost will be around $600, that is if you want coverage.
I personally wouldn't buy it at all. If you break 1 tire, you'll just break even. What are the chances?
