Default Dyno Day at MAEC

The Montana Auto Enthusiast Club had their annual dyno day yesterday.

I work with and am good friends with one of their active members who invited me to dyno my 2010 370Z.

Most of the MAEC guys cars are mostly modded Mustangs, and some fine machines for sure. Lots of superchargers and some turbos too. Major earplug material!

The dyno is a mobile unit and the event was held at my buddy's shop, it was a great day, clear and cool 60-70F.

A great turnout and everybody had a great time.

My Z is a totally stock base model with just over 6K miles on it, I wanted to get a baseline before I put any mods on the car so this was a good opportunity. Ran into a problem on the dyno when we discovered we could not turnoff the VDC control, it initally turned off with the button, but when we went to dyno it turned on and then would not shut off.

We took the car off the dyno and they refunded my fee.
There was another guy there that said he has a G37 that does the same thing and it would take a special bypass module to allow a person to shutoff the VDC. Any feed back on this issue is appreciated! Sorry for the long post.

Here's some pics...
