They have to fix it even if it takes them past warranty end date. That's provided that they feel it is a warranty issue? But you may want to look at the back of your owners manual to see what rights you have in your state concerning manufacturer warranty...
there are certain issues nissan "may" take care of even if you are out of warranty upon discretion of the dealer depending on what it is??? Read up. On your specific warranty and talk to them bro.
