bolt-on spacers (from a reputable manufacturer) are fine for daily/spirited driving. a LOT of drifters use spacers w/ no issues.
if you get conservative offsets you can make more adjustments vs buying aggressive offsets and hope it's right for the car's geometry and the kind of driving dynamics expected. there is so much you can achieve with just adjusting offsets.
