Default Finally after 4 months of waiting but...

Pick up my new 2012 GM AT Sports today. Thought this would be one of the happiest day of my life to have the car I always wanted, but the dealer kind of screw it up for me.

I order the car in November after they couldn't find the exact option and color I wanted. We have agree on a price that is right at about invoice before tax and fees. They call me in Jan and told me there is a delay, we try to work on a deal on another car that is at a different dealership but didn't work out. I said let's keep the order and I would wait. He thank me for staying with him and I'd he would add a 3 year maintenance plan at no charge.

Got a call today and said the car is here. Thinking this would be easy to go sign, pay and drive, I was wrong. There is a new manager at the dealership, the old manager still work for the same company but at a different location now. The new guy refuse to honor the price.

They first tried to trick me to sign the paper by not including the 1k deposit I already paid when order in November. When I caught that, they tried to say the deposit is on top of the agreed price. When that didn't work he Keep saying noway they would sell me this car at that price. The car is also missing the truck mat and the splash guards which should have been included with the order. We went back and forth for awhile about the missing accessories and the agreed maintenance plan. I was quite frustrated and told him I already negotiated 5 months ago and didn't except to do it again. I told him if it not going to be the agree upon amount with all the accessiories and the maintenance plan, refund my deposit I would go somewhere else to buy a car. He said he need to speak with the dealership owner and walked out.

Took about 20min and the finance manger came in and said they would honor the price. The general manger didn't even have the courtesy to come back to tell me the result himself. Finish up the paperwork and finally out of the dealership after 3 hours.

This is the worst experience I had picking up a car after agreeing on a price. I probably should have walked out earlier, not sure I would be able to trust this dealership again.

I am hoping the Z is worth it. I think I will feel better when I see the beautiful new car on my driveway tomorrow morning. I do have to admit I have a little grin on my face driving it back from the dealership even with what I just went through.
