All these numbers, break in methods etc are just everyone's opinions. Read your owners manual and you'll see what that Nissan recommends not going over 4k rpm, no prolonged driving at the same rpm for the first 1200mi. It doesn't say anything about draining all fluids after you hit 1200. I followed the book on all my cars and never had a problem. Got my first oil change on the z @3750 and I switched to redline after 2 oil changes I think. Now I just get an oil analysis and change the oil at the recommended interval of the lab. Takes the guess work out of wondering what condition your oil and engine is in...
