I would definitely not use a higher upper viscosity oil; the car's engine and cooling systems are designed to work at an operating temperature that is compatible with X w 30 oils. Plus, we have an oil temp gauge, so it's not hard to watch the danger levels if you really runs that hot.
I personally use Mobil 1 5w30 with a Mobil 1 filter, due to it's availablity in a store.
