You don't need to go to the dealer for a CEL. Places like auto zone will scan and clear it for free or you could buy your own OBD scanner for less than $100. Everyone should have one of these anyways. If your dealer is anything like my dealer, they will charge you a diagnostic fee. This is something anyone can do. It's so easy a caveman can do it
