What you are saying is both right and wrong. Its right by definition but wrong as far as calling it a "LACK of a certain feature.
SRM is syncro rev match- when the ECU blips the throttle for you when downshifting. Also works in upshift. SRM has been around since 2009.
DRM is Downshift Rev Match- when the ECU blips the throttle for you in manual mode on auto transmission. Also works in upshift. DRM has been around for a decade.

The only reason why there's a difference in name is because one works for the auto and the other works for manual. Its the same shyt though.
