Default SynchroRev Match Question

While test-driving a 370Z with a manual transmission at the local dealership, I noticed the engine would rev up twice like I was gasing it when I was coming to a stop at a stop light. This would happen as I would push the clutch in and take the car out of whatever gear it was in getting ready to put it into first. Is this normal? It sounded like I was intentionally gasing the car and wanting to race the car next to me, lol.

I turned off the SynchroRev match system by hitting the button to the right of the gearshifter, and it would still rev up once as I came to a stop light and pushed in the clutch. At no time had I ever had my foot on the gas pedal! Also, when you press in or release the SynchroRev Match button, there was no dash indicator light stating anything has changed. Is there none?

Was there a problem with this car or is this normal with the SynchroRev match transmission? Thanks.
