Hmm...that's not how I do it. All I do is paste in the little code after the "=" sign. For example, let's say I want to embed a YouTube video with the following url: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teAgypeikU8". All I do is copy the part after the v=. So I'd copy "teAgypeikU8". To embed it, click on the little YouTube button and paste. You end up with this for a tag: "[yOUTUBE]teAgypeikU8[/ YOUTUBE]" (not exactly like that - had to modify to prevent actual embedding). I haven't tried pasting in the entire embed code.
