If you're a man, you should at least be looking at the is350. You'll also be pretty close in straight line performance as well and have more practicality than the z. I thought about the is350 and my girlfriend wishes I got the 350, ha. But at the end of the day, I didn't NEED a new car (the is350 is more of an upgrade to a nicer fast sedan from my old 2007 3.5 altima, which would be fine if it was dying and I needed a new car), I wanted the (affordable and reasonably priced) dream car so 370z it was. Another thing to consider is that the is has been around for a long time now and is due to be changed soon. So if you're the type who likes to have the newest current body style, it might not be the way to go. The IS is for poeople who want entry level luxury and Japanese. And women in particular when talking about the 250.

Anyhow, judging form your responses to responses, OP, you seem to be heavily leaning towards the 370. You'r ein college too, awesome time to have car like that as long as you don't drive it like a douche or like a road hazard a$$hole.
