Like everyone has said; the looks are meh, the power is lacking and the price isn't that low. The Z is hands down sexier and if you were to downgrade to the BRZ / FRS you'd miss the extra HP and LB quickly. I like the idea behind the car and know if will sell well as long as the keep the price down.
I won't be out of my Z until I can afford a $60k+ car in which case i'd look at the 2013 Cayman which is going to be super sexy due to the new roof life:
