Between 2007-2008 the n54 used forged internals. For 2009 the n54 used cast. And for 2010+ bmw uses the single-turbo n55 which cannot handle as much power as the n54 can. Same bolt ons and tune from both cars will show a 40whp difference - the most the n55 can make with bolt ons + tune is ~360whp. The n54 can do 400whp, before meth.

Interesting... didnt know all the details. oh mrsk, make sure your car comes equipped with an oil cooler and the sport seats. the sport seats are the one with like 500 adjustments on it.
