No. The spacers have to do with the bigger brakes on the sport package. I'm guessing by your title you had the 18's thus the smaller brakes on the non sport package. Not all wheels will clear a bigger brake kit so you need spacers to push the wheel out farther.

I've had FBNISSAN confirm for me that the stock 18" wheels will clear the sports package brakes. No spacers needed there at all.
