I kept GTI MK5 for over two years excellent car and very reliable even in this heat, have driven Focus ST few times as well its better then GTI but more inline with Sti for not being a DD.

Test drove a few last year before buying the Z. I tested the GTI, MS3, WRX, and a few others.
Ford hasn't released a Focus ST yet in the states. It's supposed to come out next year.
We
had a VW R32 several years back, but I'm looking for a new car, and VW is supposed to put out a Golf R soon, which is AWD and should be better than the R32 (lighter I4 that's more powerful than the V6).
