Default Just installed my Stillen G3 Intakes

After about 3 weeks of them sitting in the corner of my living room, I finally had some free time and the motivation to install my G3s. I must say as a beginner, I found the difficulty installing these very low. I had more trouble taking off the bumper (the first time) as I was afraid of breaking it.. haha. I followed DIGITONIUM's guide on how to remove the front bumper and AK370Z's guide on his G3 Intake Installation (Thanks guys!)

I was surprised to find so many leaves in my intake box . My filters were so clean, I'm beginning to wonder if they were even sucking in air.

It was a great learning experience (hand-on taking some of the engine components off, using the dremel, taking off the front fascia, installing the intakes, etc.) I feel more comfortable getting my hands dirty and molesting my car.

I have a few questions as I couldn't find the answers to them via searching.

After my install, I noticed my engine bay was hotter than before. Could this be because of the stainless steel tubing?

Also, on my fuel gauge, my estimated MPG were reading at like 420 (on a full tank.) Max I've ever seen with my stock intakes was like 322. Is this just the ECU adjusting?

Last but not least, this may or may not be related but my oil temps were a little higher than normal. I was slightly over 220. I measured the oil and according to the dipstick it seems I'm around half. I am concerned about this and I will keep my eye on it for the next few days.

Anyways, thanks for listening!
