Default tpms

i need some quick help, Do i need to take my car to the dealer to have the tpms reset? Or can i do it myself? I put wheels and tires on and the light came on. I tried to disconnect the battery and pump the brakes, but it just flashed and im assuming its going to come back on. I did the search and it said to disconnect and pump the brakes. Is there anything else i can do?
