Sorry I didn't see this thread before I posted mine!
My economics are slightly different: FIOS is a fixed cost, so it's a question of whether I make an archival copy. Using VSO's ConvertXvidtoDVD, aka Convert4, a reconstituted DVD to burn on a blank costs ~ 20 cents.
I felt the CGI were truly awesome for a production in this class, and used with care to reduce the movie investors' exposure. This entire movie could have been an undergraduate class film project (on both sides of the cameras), further reducing costs. How awesome is that?
Finally -- if you're watching this movie, you're not watching the Schwarzenegger bastard saga, as rebroadcast from TMZ.com. That's got to be worth something!
Add up all these items, and I think we're talking Movie of the Year. !!!11!!!
