If you have to order from the factory, you probably won't get a deal on it. I'd expect to wait several months before you even got it. I've read several articles that consumers should expect car prices to go up towards the end of the year, because by that point they will have thinned out their inventory. Demand will be greater than the supply because all manufacturers are producing less and operating lean (I've always wondered why manufacturers didn't use this model approach instead opting to flood the market w/vehicles).
I wouldn't mind waiting for the car to come from the factory and not getting as good of a deal as long as that's an option. I'm the kind of person that is good at going in there and talking them down in price and making sure I get what I want but I was getting worried hearing all the stories of people searching like crazy, not finding what they want, and just giving up and settling for another combo. That made it sound like ordering what combo I want from the factory isn't even an option.
