the zune was awesome. their downfall was the lack of apps the ipod touch has. instead of getting rid of the zune, they should have just announced a new zune that would run on the windows phone 7 framework so it could have access to the apps. Then it could compete with the ipod touch better. The Zune Pass was an incredible thing and my 30gb zune is going on 4.5 years old with probably 5-6 hours of use per day, 5 days a week. Thats a pretty damn good lifespan.
