AT&T bought T-Mobile for its infrastructure, for the first 3-5 years nothing will change other than some AT&T traffic will be migrated across to T-Mobile's network to help regulate things better.
Will prices change? No, every company AT&T has bought has allowed previous plans to hold until a customer upgraded to a phone which was different than its previous phone.
