In this day and age, some adjusting is needed, as texting becomes more and more common. I know my last gf would text me messages about looking forward to dinner or some other plan because she was at work or in class at the time. Is it possible that she was in a situation like work that wouldn't have allowed a call at that moment? Even so though, the conflicting messages is reason for alarm, and requires a real conversation.
