maybe not for mindless people, i prefer to have a little something so that i can watch it. Not saying it has to be some Martin Scorsese or Stanley Kubrick movies. You can make a movie that has excellent action and some good acting and writing (startrek with JJ, the dark knight to name a couple).
But I guess since hollywood knows that people don't care for quality they just keep doing it. Oh well what can you do.
