Just a reminder folks, this is the biggest Z event every year you can attend! Don't miss out! ZCON 2009 International Convention

We have a ton of sponsors, already 120 registered and still have 5 months to go. A week long doing nothing but Z car stuff! This event is even sponsored by Nissan themselves. And we plan to have some cars there you won't see till later on at the dealers.....We can't give details on this obviously.

-2 Track Spots became available. If you were on the fence about coming you better act now. When you register on the ZCON website it will ask if you want to be on the Track waiting list, Click "YES" the first 2 people get the available spots.

-Deadline to reserve your room before the ZCON block is released is August 22, 2009. After that the rooms will be at regular rates.

-ZCON Caravan thread is posted on the ZCCA website. If you need info on joining a group to come to San Antonio then check there from time to time to see the caravan plans.

Another bump. This is the International Z convention guys that has happened every year at different locations all over the US . Sign up, don't miss out. We have people coming from Japan, Canada, Hawaii bringing their cars!

With 160+ registered now this is going to be a awesome event. We only have about 3-4 370z people registered. So sign up!

sooo if i'm interested in the cruise/track/show i would only pay for those 3 things?

noticed that the track only had a certain number of open slots....are there any still open? also what times are these events at as i will be in school all that week so i would need to plan accordingly

Correct. You will only pay for the track if there is a opening. There is a very short wait list right now (2-3) I think. You will be contacted though if a opening does come available and will be asked to send the additional funds for the track event.

ZCON 2009 International Convention Times and dates are under Events.

Just some news about the ZCON Car Show. Some people cannot attend the whole week of the convention but would like to be part of the ZCON car show. We have now added a way for you to do that. On the ZCON09 website you can now register for the car show only.

This will allow you to show your car in People's Choice category for only $25 bucks! This will get also get you a ZCON T-shirt and a raffle ticket. Again this option is only for the People's Choice category and will not get you into any other ZCON event. If you want to participate in the other convention events you will need to do the regular convention registration.

The People's Choice category is open to all Nissan/Datsun/Infiniti vehicles.

ZCON 2009 International Convention

Needed to add another event. On Thursday morning a group of Z's will be traveling to Shiner, TX to tour the Shiner Brewery. After lunch they will be heading back to SA to meet the others who did the Downtown/Riverwalk tour event.

In order to participate in the cruise/tour of Shiner you will need to donate a minimum of $5.00 for the City of Shiner. This donation can be given in the hotel parking lot before you head out to Shiner.

This event is being organized by the folks at TwinTurbo.net

As most of you know, ZCon is right around the corner (Sept 28 - Oct 2nd) and we have made a few changes to make this year's ZCON even better.

$25.00 People's Choice registration. - For those local to Texas that can only make the car show or even if you want to be in the show but just not be judged, we thought about helping you folks out. We significantly lowered the entry fee and threw in a free ZCON T shirt as well. This will give you the opportunity to be in the show with all your friends without the headache of being judged.

We did this option this year to hopefully bring out the largest selection of Z's ever seen at a ZCON. The car show site has unlimited space and we expect a huge turnout. The show will have a number of import magazine and TV crews on site this year doing live coverage throughout the day. This People's Choice option has never been done at a car show and we are already getting a lot of folks using this option.



Steve Millen - We've gotten Steve Millen to generously donate some of his time this year and will be attending this year's ZCON. Steve will be attending the show with his new Stillen GTR which will be on display at the carshow along with other track and sponsor vehicles. Mr. Millen will also give the opportunity to give out some autographs as well. The GTR will also make an appearance for the track day at Harris Hill as well. This is a great opportunity to meet one of the legends of IMSA and Nissan history.

Car Show Models - We have also acquired the "skills" of a local modeling agency, that we have utilized in the past for the Texas Z Nationals, who will be on site to take pics with your car if requested. The models are provided for free by the ZCON committee and just require a "please" and "thank you" for their services.

Swap Meet - This year we've added to the ZCON roster the option of adding in a swap meet. This means you can pick up some of those rare Nissan parts that you've been on the hunt for or even drop off some parts of your own and make some money. No need to stand and there and wait for someone, we have it already laid out. You drop off your part at the secure swap meet shop area and enjoy the show or pick up something while you are there. Awesome!



Giveaways, Raffles and Prizes - We have racked up some amazing items to be distributed throught the week of ZCON. We've got limited items signed directly from Mr. K, Z1 Motorsports, AMS, Concept Z Performance, Powertrix, Jim Wolf Technologies, Exedy Clutch, SPL parts, Ultimate Z Performance, items from the Datsun heritage museum and a whole slew of other things that will go to lucky ZCON attendees.



NOS Energy Drink - NOS energy drink has stepped to be the elite drink sponsor for ZCON this year and will be setting up displays and giving out free drinks all week long to keep the momentum and energy going.

Sadly, the convention has been a weekday only event for many years as it gives people time over the weekend to travel.

If you were on the fence about coming to ZCON maybe this will help...I have a few track spots available:
