Z Nationals 2010 Event Info - Times, Dates and Prizes...BE THERE!

Everyone,
I am sure some of you may have heard, but for those of you who have not. The 2010 Z Nationals Event is less than 13 days away!

Here is a little more information on this event and what to expect over the course of the weekend:

Thursday (September 23, 2010):
Arrival Day for many people planning on attending the Track Event on Friday. Many people will be hanging out at either the event hotel in nearby Breman/Carrollton or here at the shop (Everyone is more than welcome to stop by and hangout).

Friday (September 24,2010):
The group will be making the ~45 min trek to the Little Talladega Motorsports Park in Lincoln, Alabama. This 1.4 mile track features wide, grassy runoffs and a nice combination of wide sweeping corners and tight decreasing radius hair pins. This is a perfect track/event for beginners to learn on and become acquainted with their 370z in a controlled environment.

We will have several SCCA certified drivers who will act as instructors for those of you who have never road raced before. These individuals will ride along with you, to teach you the basics of performance driving, track etiquette, etc. This is a great venue for first time drivers looking to get acquainted with their Z or G in a track environment...PLUS you get to do so with other Z/G owners!

Be sure to print off the tech inspection sheet from the Z Nationals 2010 website and be ready to put your skills to the test! Z1 Motorsports is also offering a free tech inspection session on Thursday ONLY. This is recommend as it will speed up the check-in process at the track on Friday.

The Road Course event is free to spectators (and everyone is invited!) and is ONLY $150 for drivers, for the entire day. Cars will have to pass a technical inspection and drivers must have long pants, closed toe shoes and an approved Snell SA2005+ Helmet (or a M2005 on NONE Roll cage equipped cars).

Talladega Motorsports Park does have an on-site concession stand with food and drinks (Serving the basics as far as Hamburger, Hotdogs, etc)

We will more than likely be stopping somewhere for a group/evening dinner somewhere along the way back to Carrollton/Bremen area. This will be an impromptu gathering and will be decided upon at day of the event. (Not a 100% definite as of yet)

Pre-registration is limited to Nissan Zs, GTRs, & Infiniti Gs only and spots are both limited and filling up quickly!.

Sunday (September 26, 2010):

For the last day of the 2010 Z Nationals Event, we will be heading to the Alabama International Drag Strip for a full day of 1/4 mile drag racing. Located about 45 minutes from the event hotel, this drag strip is a sanctioned NHRA track and has been featured on PINKS many times.

There is a $15 gate fee to ALL attendants entering the facility. This covers a full day of 1/4 drag race fun with a group of fellow Z owners.

Please remember, only closed toe shoes and long pants are required of all drivers and passengers. Cars will have to pass a tech inspection as well.

This is again, a great way to safely get acquainted with your Z in a track environment. Practice your launches and collect some 1/4 miles times to really see who is the faster Z or G of the day.

To read more about the event and to register. Be sure to check out the official event website here:
Z Nationals 2010

We hope to see everyone here at the event and look forward to a great weekend!

Nismo221 09-11-2010 03:39 PM

Im going to try to make it out Saturday and Sunday. Even though my Nismo is still stock, I'd like to see what everyone else is doing.

Dustin@Z1 09-11-2010 03:53 PM

Stock, modified, Full-Track car..who cares! It's all about getting everyone together to hang out, look at some awesome cars and have fun.

A stock is equally appreciated..and competitive in a car show...as a highly modified one.
