Question about OEM TPMS on different rims
I will be putting winter tires and rims with OEM tpms so is there any way I can re-program the ECU myself or the dealer has to do it every years.
I bought everything without knowing that but I don't want an idiot light in my face when I drive, thanks |
I believe there is a tool you can purchase.

I programmed it myself. There's a thread on it.

yah dont do the 28psi approach cause you will probably damage your tire's structural strength. get the handheld device to reprogram.

I couldn't find the single wire plug to do the DIY reset, so I drove by my local Discount. Talked to one of the managers and he did the reset for free (typically would have cost $25). Great guys at that shop.
I have a 2011 Nismo...Any ideas where the plug would be? I just finished installing the RJM clutch pedal so I was all up in that and saw nothing resembling the pics on the DIY. |
It's in the same group of wires traveling from the obd plug.

Many national tire shops will do it for free. Discount Tire does it for free here in Houston.
