Thats a Photoshop job, not sure what they are but they look similar to the Forgestars, they are pretty reasonably priced wheels.

Those are either forgestar or HRE's I am banking on HRE's by the center caps

Z1Performance 10-01-2009 08:32 AM

They are HRE M40 which were designed for the GTR

nogoodname 10-01-2009 09:13 AM

the difference between the two is that HRE are more expensive... but darn good quality... good stuff

Forgestar are good quality too, cheap priced... but takes 4+ months to deliver if lucky

mitchman1210 10-01-2009 09:49 AM

Wow they are HRE M40 wheels I like them so much better than the Forgestar.
Thanx guys

phelan 10-01-2009 10:24 AM

bloody expensive though. ><

Those are definitely HRE M40s, super baller wheels. Forgstars are the lower cost alternative.

expensive indeed...but they also don't have long lead times in my experience

shabarivas 10-01-2009 07:44 PM

And they are also really forged not this "flow formed" crap which is basically casting...

Actually the difference is the forgestars are more replica's of the Audi RS4 wheels (nothing wrong with that). The HRE's M40/P40 are just a sexy baller wheel. Its like the step up for the RS4 guys...My best friend has an RS4 and has those HRE's on it.

Both wheels are dead sexy!

Separate debate :) yes, these are fully forged. Flow formed, etc is not basically casting, it is casting. But, it's a different process and technique which lets a manufacturer make a nice design, with minimal post mold processing needed, that is both lightweight, strong, and affordable. Pretty neat process overall.
