Snow setup?
 

I know it is spring but I would like to be ready for winter lol. What is a good setup (I am thinking blizzak's) but what size? A lot of people are telling me to go with a much more narrow setup, do they have to be 19's? The cheaper the better. I was thinking about picking up some cheap wheels on craigslist, I just don't know what size.

if i was going to do it, i would use the sport 19's and run LM60's factory size.

i usually have a few sets of wheels for my cars so i would run aftermarket wheels in the summer time with summer tires.

Base 18" wheels are the best winter wheels for the Z, cheap too = $400 ?

Go to Tirerack.com and pick your year Z with the base package and see what tires fit.

I run Blizzaks in the winter... accept no substitute.

yah, but they dont look that good. if this was my only car, i would keep it looking nice with snow tires on sport 19's.

Besides rubber, Tire Rack also has a selection of rims that will fit the 370Z that are narrower (mostly 18") and better for snow.. They should be okay to fit the sport's brake calibers if you put the sport package in the category but I would still be a little bit leery that every choice will make clearance, I guess that is the price we have to pay.

I was going to do it last winter, and with it being poorer weather here for 5+ months out of the year, I wanted something that I actually thought looked good.. I didn't really see anything that stood out to me ( I know, kind of hard when you are shopping for small *** cheaper winter wheels), I didn't get around to getting the wheels and drove a winter beater, maybe it was for the best..

One thing for sure is that if you get some thin 18's that don't have the right offset and you don't run spacers, they will look HIGHLY sunken in and won't look good, no matter what rims you pick.

I've used Michelin X-ice tires (245/45R18) on some low cost alloy rims both of which I purchased from TireRack several years ago. I use 25mm H & R spacers on the rears. These tires work great in both ice and snow which were well tested this past winter. I would highly recommend the Michelins. The Michelins were on sale when I bought them and included a $70 rebate. This is the third winter I've used the Michelins.
The 25mm spacers bring the tires in the same relative position as the stock 19's on the sport model so these tires look good on the car.

My snow setup is a custom 370Z car cover, a battery tender and a GMC Sierra 1/2 ton 4WD pickup.
