Is there adapters ?

Is there a way to put aftermarket lug nuts on the Z ? Adapters maybe ?

Chuck33079 04-22-2014 08:55 PM

Nope. You're stuck with the stock ones unless you want to risk catastrophic failure.

Fulljim 04-22-2014 09:12 PM

Someone needs to fab some ...

Chuck33079 04-22-2014 09:14 PM

Why?

Fulljim 04-22-2014 09:18 PM

To be able to put some after market lugs on the Z !

Chuck33079 04-22-2014 09:24 PM

What does that accomplish? They're a different color? Any weight savings would be negated by the adapters. Just have the stock ones powdercoated.

Fulljim 04-22-2014 09:34 PM

Why do you even answer if you have nothing constructive to bring to the topic ?

Chuck33079 04-22-2014 09:37 PM

I would consider my first response to be constructive. There are no adapters to use aftermarket lugs. My question after that is completely legitimate. What, other than color, does running a set of aftermarket lugs do for you?

Fulljim 04-22-2014 09:44 PM

Its called: " I want something different than OEM"

Those lugs are ugly and i'd like to have the opportunity to choose what I want.

Powder coat OEM lugs will look weird IMO

Chuck33079 04-22-2014 09:48 PM

Then make some adapters. There are none on the market. Right now, the only options are to color the OEM lugs or get aftermarket wheels so you can run aftermarket lugs. You can call that not being constructive, but it's a fact.

Fulljim 04-22-2014 09:55 PM

I will make some !! Sounds like a plan my friend:driving:

Powder coated OEM lugs look fine. I've done a few sets.
But if you're putting aftermarket lugs on stock SILVER wheels. It would look weird...

I don't think so, but its me ! i'm pretty sure alot of Z owners would like to put aftermarket lugs ...

Chuck33079 04-22-2014 10:05 PM

Just be very careful. A failure at speed could be fatal.
