Open end lug question??

Ok, I have a set of wheels I'm puting on the Z,
I purchased a set of Blox TI lugs for them.

They are Open ended, does anyone know how to keep the insides of them from rusting?

I was thinking maybe Silicone Spray or Anti-Seize.

What do you think??

Since they are titanium, you should not have to do anything to it. Your lugs will rust way sooner that your Ti. Plus at the price you paid, they better not rust.

I know the lugs won't rust, but the studs will...

Now I get it. I am actually sharper than this. I've never done anything with mine over a year now and no issues.

Do you have open end lugs? and no rust coming from the studs?

Silicone/oil will eventually wash away. I'd use a very small amount of antiseize. Put a very thin coat on the stud threads. When using any type of lubricant on fasteners, use a little less torque when tightening.

I have open lugs and no rust. I just remembered, I don't have stock lugs. I replaced when I got spacers in 2012.

I use to use lithium grease

id stay away from any lubricants and just use a coat of engine enamel before screwing in the new lugs.

on my car i use open ended lugs with no spray though cause i dont drive my Z in the wet.
