Best Plasti Dip Color for PW 370Z Rims?

so i am not a big fan of black, what color do you guys think will look good on a Pearl White Z for the rims? I was thinking Gloss Gun-Metal… does anyone have any pics/suggestions? getting it done this weekend. thanks

With a white Z, besides black I'd do matte gold. If you're into a glossy look, buy 4 cans of the plasti dip glossifier and keep adding coats until you get the shine you want. Remember matte plasti dip can be a bitch to clean at times unless you have a good de-greaser. Also let the dip settle in for a few days before you clean the car.

I would go with some kind of blue, or dark blue? Or even a dark purple... cant really think of a non-dark tinted color to go with a white car.

Also ignore the anti-plastidip trolls. They will go out of their way to tell you how bad plasti-dip is, when actually its great to use to see how something would look w/o it being permanent and only costing 20 bucks.

I just did mine in a single stage white pearl this past week...in case you want to see what white would look like. I havent seen another - could be good or bad i quess - but I like it :-) Pics in my albums

The Copper/Bronze 4-5 coats with 2 coats of Smoke and some glossifier to finish it would look pretty good on a PW. :D

I'm thinking of doing mine and I have a pearl white. So the obvious beauty part of plastidip is it's removable properties. So with that topic out I the way, what colors for pw. I honestly think it depends on your taste buds and how much attention you want to attract. My z is a daily driver, for now, so I don't want my car too too loud. If it where a weekend car, I'd go with red. It matches the tail lights and I've seen it with white brake calipers and 20 mm spacers. It looks sick.
But since it's a daily driver, I had to consider other options. Similarly, I'm not a fan of black especially matte black. To me, it hides the features and size of the wheel, the wheel gets lost in the wheel well. It kind of looks like you are running on 4 spares. Glossy black, hyper black, or chrome black are the only black wheels that I actually like. The glossy black i just recently got into. I think it's because if the white maserati's, mini coopers, ferrari's, and porsche's that come stock with it. The issue is you cannot achieve the similar gloss or chrome using plastidip as you would getting it from factory or powdercoating. So the only color remaining is hyper black, which is often mistaken as gunmetal. There is a YouTube video of a yellow 370z with this hyperblack/ gunmetal color. It actually looks sick. I've experimented with black plasti dip spray cans and plastidip enhancers (metalizer an pearlizer) and I can't seem to get the satisfying results. Partully has to do with not being the best spray painter but also the lack of consistency from one wheel to another. I was able to get one wheel exactly the way I wanted but not the others. The enhancers are tricky to use.
So I've decided that I will create my own plastidip color by purchasing the spray gun , black and silver metalizer gallons from dipyourcar.com. This way I can measure the portions right, achieve the exact color and consistency I want, and have left over to redo the wheels in future.
