Spare tire ?

For those with 19" and 20", what do you do with the spare tire ? Do you buy anything like fix-a-flat to put in your car in case of a flat ?

You don't want to use that stuff, ruins your TPMS sensors.
Try, you know, carrying the spare... Not sure what it has to do with wheel size

It's actually a pretty nice spare, at least on the sport package. Better than the stamped steel doughnut. I've got a small inflator and a can of fix a flat in addition to the spare in case something happens to multiple tires and at that point I give zero ***** about anything beyond getting the vehicle home and in the air to see what else has been destroyed.

OP, just use the OEM spare.

I keep the spare tire in a special compartment under the rear deck flooring.

I have a base model with 18" wheels and assuming my spare doughnut is also an 18".

Would it make sense to just get rid of the spare in the trunk when I mount some 19" wheels?

No. Why would you get rid of the spare just because you get new wheels?

My question is the same since I have the base model - assuming the spare tire is 18" and I am getting the 20" wheels. What good will the spare tire do if it is 2" shorter than the 20" wheel ?

It doesn't matter... The sidewall is taller.

It's not like your 20" wheels will be 2" larger than the OEM wheel/tire setup.

If you get new brakes, you will need a sport package spare

just dont put the spare on the rear axle and youll be fine for a hopefully short drive home.
