Great wheels but....

I have new 20x10 rear wheels that came with 275/30 tires. To me the tires seem like they are not wide enough to fit the rim. Is it just me or does this look awkward?

TerribleONE 03-06-2014 08:09 PM

It's definitely a little stretched, but not horrible.

Alexwallace23 03-06-2014 08:10 PM

What size tires would you go with?

Is your car lowered?

Alexwallace23 03-06-2014 08:13 PM

Yes, the rear is at about 26 ˝" from floor to fender.

I agree with you. Probably better with 285's at least.

Tire stretch is sexy. Just don't over do it.

Unless the car spends most of it's time parked and buffed for photo shoots, I'd just make sure you have tires properly sized for the wheel. Check the tire specs on manufacturer's site before buying.

I bought the set through CarID.com and 275/30s were my only option for the rear tires for the wheels I wanted. Lesson learned I guess.

CarID sucksarse... i speak from experience.

ufoz8mycow 03-07-2014 12:20 PM

That's a really mild stretch...... You'll be fine. Just wear those out and get 285s next time.

:iagree: :rofl2:

I like meaty tires that protect my rims. I can pull right up next to curbs without stressing, which in turn makes drive-thru transactions like bank or fast food much easier. I just have to wipe down and redress the sidewalls on occasion

Front 20x8.5 with +20 Offset (Perfect flushed fit. No spacers needed)
Rear 20x10 with +35 Offset (I can still get away with using my 20mm spacers)
