PSI Question

Hi,
New 370Z owner, and new to forum.
I am still a bit overwhelmed by all the electronic displays, warnings and beeps, and trying to learn about them in the nebulous owner's manual.

I have heard car salesman say some pretty crazy things over the years, but my Nissan salesman told me something that I took with great skepticism.
He said that I would never need a tire pressure gauge, because if I ever have to add air to the tire, the CARHORN will beep when I get to the CORRECT pressure:icon17:!
So of course, when I got the car home, and let the tires get ice cold, I checked the psi with my best of my many tire gauges.
The dealership had set all four tires to 41psi.
The door sticker and manual says 35psi.
And of course it says to set it with a TIRE PRESSURE GAUGE.

In the owner's manual I could not find anything carhorn/tirepressure related (Of course that doesn't mean it's not in there. If it is, I just couldn't find it).

What could this guy have been thinking???
Is there ANY relationship between tire psi and the CARHORN???

He was confused. The Altima and a few other Nissans have that, but not the Z.

It's also for low tire pressure and filling the tire to proper pressure.....not over inflated tires.

The manufacturing plant over inflates tires on purpose. The dealer is supposed to lower the pressure before they deliver the car to you. They never do. :shakes head:
