Front Wheels look bigger than back

1 Attachment(s)
first and most of all, I must apologize if my post is not done correctly, firt time ever posting anything anywhere.

to the point, I just had 20" 8.5 front (245/35/20) and 20" 10 back (275/30/20) Savini BM4. for some odd reason, I'm not sure if its just me but it seems that the back wheels/tire look smaller than the front. anyone has experienced this before and is there a quick not costly fix?

thank you all for your quick response.

Yoshi

Front Wheels look bigger than back

It's hard to tell what you mean from the picture but if by smaller you mean more sunken in then you can get wheel spacers to push them out a bit. Common ones are H&R and Z1 Motorsports.

It is smaller, what you are referring to is offset.
The front push the wheel farther out and become more flush where the rear are sunk in more. Looks like you could put on a spacer in the rear to balance it out.

Never mind you're using an 8.5 wheel up front instead of the 9.5 thats originally used :|

Thank you Zack, much appreciated, I’m referring to the size as in the radius of the wheel, I’m really disappointed on the look. check this other picture

You are referring to profile height. And yes, there is more sidewall on the front tire. Normal

That is wierd that the front tire looks bigger than the rear.

thank you all for your response, I know the pictures are not that clear but it seems that all the replies point to spacers, is just that as soon as someone sees the car the first thing that comes out is “hey, front wheels bigger than the back?” thank you guys, much appreciated. i hope the spacers fix this look or i'm in deep pocket trouble

Tazicon

you see the difference i'm referring to?

cooltoy 01-15-2014 11:03 AM

The front diameter of you set up is 680 mm, the rear is 674 mm. So you are right the rear is smaller in diameter.

how can this be fix so that it looks normal? i mean, i sse other 370z with 20" and they look normal? i been told about spacers but spacers wont change the diameter of the rear wheel...

cooltoy 01-15-2014 11:17 AM

You are correct, spacers will not change the diameter. Only tires will. Should have done your math before buying them.

285/35/20 will give you 708 mm.
275/35/20 will give you 700 mm.
285/30/20 will give you 680 mm.

Spacers won't fix what you are seeing. The front tires will still look bigger.

And yes I see exactly what you see. Only fix is larger rear tires or smaller fronts.

yoshi1975 01-15-2014 11:41 AM

thank you All for your input... i hope the shop where i got them from are willing to change the rear tires to bigger size... i just got them yesterday.

Cootoy, you would think the shop where i bought them from would know what they are doing, i mean, you would think they are the expert, i hope they do something about it since i just got them yesterday or else i'm S.O.L :owned:
