nismo wheels trade for varrestoen es1 ..good deal?
I have a pair of 2010 nismo wheels in perfect condition with only 14k miles on them and Im trying to find someone to trade with for his aftermarket wheels.I found this guy on the forum that would like to trade his varrestoen es1 wheels for my nismo wheels. Do you think this is a fair trade? Did my research on varrestoen and I heard the wheels are not that strong and break if you run over a pot hole. his wheels only have 200 miles on them there pretty much brand new. let me know what you think. I am looking for aftermarket wheels but I know oem is always better

Forget the Varrestoen's. My advice is to sell the Nismo wheels on craigslist/for sale thread (Im thinking you can get them for 1500$). Then you will be halfway to some used volk te37s!

folks will pay more than 1500 for the nismos set if they are mint. those are 900-950 a pop new.

No way OP. I'd stay away from knock off wheels.

But Nismo for Varrstoens. Say no to fake wheels! |
OP keep your nismo wheels!

There are TONS of fake TE37s and some look pretty damn good... Find a wheel guru in your area. And/or PM Waizzzz |
If you're not lowered those won't look right as G35C uses different offsets especially the front.
|
If not mistaken, nismo wheels are made by RAYS. Should be forged, around 18lbs.
TE37, same technology, material, new around $850 per wheel. |

Check the offsets on the TE37! Make sure they're around +22 in the front and either +22 or +12 in the rear!
Since they're teal, the original stickers might be gone from inside the barrel unless they were removed before refinishing and put back on afterwards. Just do the usual checks to make sure they're not TE37 knockoffs. |

To verify for a 19 fortunately all TE37s in 19s will have embossed words etc in between each spoke. JWL, Rays, Forged etc... If they are varstoens or Rotas they won't have these written on them (maybe jwl but not forged or Rays). Also the rear +22 will be weak if you are lowered, go with a 20mm spacer to bring it to a +2 and it will look nice. The fronts will look great. I've had 3 sets of TE37s so any questions you have I can certainly answer for you ;) |

Just to make a suggestion for you why not have someone or yourself get a vinyl strip in blue or whatever color and go over the red? There is a motorcycle shop online that sells the kits for 19 inch wheels for like 20 bucks.. Not sure if you know who Nitrouz is on here but he did it on his 350z and 370z and it looked sick! They have literally 100s of colors to choose from in every shade etc. |

Other question I had, any idea how much the value of the wheels drops without the stickers? Orrrrrr... If I went to engrave one of the spokes with "Rays" or whatever it is that comes on the new JDM only version that one of the sponsors is bringing to the US, would that lower the value? |

They will be able to order them for you with sufficient proof. I just got some CE28N sticker in stock in NY, I just need proof it's real CE28n in order to sell them to you. Need to ship them to a customer for replacement. http://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.ne...09371245_o.jpg Mark. RavSpec |

I have seen rota wheels with Volk/rays stickers on them :shakes head: |
Came in here with my torch to join the mob but seems like the situation was diffused :icon17:
Friends don't let friends run Varrstoens :roflpuke2: |

You didn't trade for TE37s? |

I'd have no problem running Varrstoens if I had a POS beater. Not referring to your car OP :tiphat:.
