Can't Order RE-11's at Costco or Discount Tire

yes, this again... i want some re-11's 265/35/19 and 285/35/19. costco says their part number is invalid and they can't order it and discount says they can't either. discount says they called tire rack and that it's discontinued (idk it's on their website though)

halp

Shut up

So got a response from Bridgestone.

Hey Chris, these tires were recently upgraded and have new part numbers. The 265/35/19 is #000937 and the 285/35/19 is #000932. We apologize your Costco was not aware of these changes, as it happened not too long ago. If you have any other questions, please email us at socialteam@bfusa.com and we will make sure you get taken care of. Thanks!

But now Costco is saying they can't buy them or aren't setup to buy them. WTF?

DEpointfive0 10-31-2013 06:13 PM

Lies, my Costco didn't show any RE11s, but my costco DID finally look into it and they said they could order me 275/305s

not lying. i got a price quote 3 days ago but didn't have issues until i went in to purchase them.

perhaps I'll ask for bigger sizes....that's a lot of tire though. i'd definitely have to ditch my spacers in the rear for good.

Probably. 305 and 30mm is a lot. I wanted to run 275 front with 20mm and 305 rear with 20mm

And I got a price quote yesterday. It took them like 20 min to figure it out though

Does that mean that 275 up front will work with a 20 mm spacer?

Fück if I know to be honest, kinda.

I've run my rears in the front with stock 275s and no spacers. So by math it should work

Will Costco install the tires? I've heard they will only install OEM size tires on wheels.

critical 10-31-2013 10:25 PM

Yes they'll install them, in lieu of spacers. Problem is they can't seem to order them.

i just bought 265/285 from tirerack for about 1100. :wtf2:

kenchan 11-01-2013 10:53 AM

yah, tirerack is showing the RE11's are "NEW" even... :ugh:

Bridgestone needs to fix their sales strategy. otherwise their name will truely mean BS.

critical 11-02-2013 03:37 AM

Bridgestone corporate is shipping tires to my closest Firestone for pickup and matching Costco pricing. Good customer support so far. Can't say so for crap Costco.

They said these tires have very low stock nationwide.

Should have my tires by Wednesday.
