Is there a reason leaving it on there is a bad idea? I've never plasti-dipped anything so I don't know too much about it other than what I've seen online. Seems like a lot of poeple have used it on various parts.

Because plastidip looks like ***. You bought a $30k+ car, don't treat it like a Honda.
There's a lot of people who disagree with me, but I'm of the opinion that you should either do it right or not at all. Plastidip is the aesthetic equivalent of the washer mod. |
Hmm, having not seen any plasti-dip in person, I can't really say. I've heard there are some done well and some done poorly. just liked the idea that it could be easily changed back if it wasn't that i expected. Thanks for your input, this was just an idea I was kicking around yesterday. I will look into the various options more. I might just do the lights and leave the wheels.

What about plasti-dip on the handles? Does that end up looking cheap?
I should just do mine and take pics, since I have the Smoke and Gunmetal dips available. :P I don't like how our handles attract fingerprint smears and wouldn't mind seeing them color matched to my car (gunmetal). |

This is photoshop, but it's not the same as seeing it in person in real life.
|
how about just buying Beema's 40th wheels?

not enough of a value shift so the contract isn't there as much

http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...psbab71c97.jpg For me its about what works for a good price. Paying some crazy prices out there for something just as functional for a cheaper price works for me, because i race car. Plus wheels will look like ****. Can't stop brake dust and who the hell wants to clean wheels daily. |
