Tpms

I know there is probably some threads already related to this.

I got some new CV3 to replace my Rays and I need to buy 4 new TPMS for my new rims. I know I could use my old ones off of my Rays but I wanna keep the Rays incase someone jacks my rims when I return back to El Paso.

I am looking for a good site that sells the set. I looked on Tirerack and they didn't have any.

Thanks

check your local america's tire. discounttire.com

they usually have them in-stock.

so which one did you go with? there's like 4 different ones.

chrischhorn 05-16-2013 01:53 PM

Check Costco also. If you're lucky, the one closest to you will have all but I wanna say we have them for $48 each....?

I used the Orotek on my 350z and the Ioro on the 370Z. Both times no problems

red2010z 05-16-2013 03:28 PM

I got them from getyourwheels for 180 for all 4

Thanks for the input fellas

raymondo510 05-16-2013 03:50 PM

Dam you just bought wheels and are ready planning on someone jacking you? Hope you bought a lock set

stevent85 05-16-2013 03:59 PM

Haha el paso is more on auto theft than just rims and its mainly trucks they steal. I've only heard of stealing rims once and that was like 10 years ago.

red2010z 05-16-2013 04:10 PM

I have been stationed in El Paso for almost 2 years. I lived on the Westside and still had issues. Had my car keyed, Motorcycle stolen. I am hoping nothing happens but gotta have a backup plan if it does. But the city is awesome!

raymondo510 05-16-2013 04:47 PM

Man that sucks, I just bought wheels too and would be heart broken if someone stole mine. I'm guessing you live off base then?

stevent85 05-16-2013 04:50 PM

Haha well I wouldn't go as far as calling el paso awesome but it is a nice city. You must be from a small town Haha. Vandalism is extremely common here. Just Gota be careful where you go and where you leave your car parked. Alota haters in el paso. I've had one of my cars keyed once before but that was due to an incident at a party that left someone with hurt feelings among an *** beating. Haha that car was my beater though so didn't really matter.

red2010z 05-16-2013 05:24 PM

Yeah I live off base. I am from Fayetteville NC so if you call that city small sure! lol. I ain't worried I got great insurance and they always take care of me. I do miss Killeen TX tho. Alot more 370Z up that way I have seen maybe 2 in El Paso when I was there and one of those was mine.

stevent85 05-16-2013 08:09 PM

Haha k maybe I was wrong bout the small city. I've seen maybe like 8 370s out here. There's a local z club here.....z street. They got a Facebook and website. They have local meets pretty often.

LOL, I left 2 years ago. I had my 240 when I was stationed there and I always put her in the garage cause of that reason. My PLT SGT got his truck stolen off of base, the police found it in an ally way with $20 taped to the steering wheel and a note "You need gas". the part was the the fuel gauge was broken. the thiefs were to lazy to put fuel init to get across the border.

Clonable sensors are quite cheap and available at a lot of parts stores. SMP, Schrader, Dorman....they all make them.

The Dorman part number is 974-301.

SgtGoldy 05-17-2013 02:44 AM

I have a set that I can pull off my old wheels if your willing to buy em.

red2010z 05-17-2013 07:06 AM

I have 4 new ones already.

And yeah I know about the car club I emailed them on Facebook already.

You ever go out to Cruise the Grid?

red2010z 05-17-2013 07:26 AM

Dam I wish I was stationed out of Ft. Carson all those beautiful women!

stevent85 05-17-2013 08:29 AM

No haven't made it out to one yet. My work schedule is all fúcked up.

red2010z 05-17-2013 09:15 AM

I have heard good and bad things bout it.

stevent85 05-17-2013 02:10 PM

About the cruise?

red2010z 05-17-2013 02:31 PM

Yes

stevent85 05-17-2013 02:45 PM

I have no idea. Never been to one. What kinda things have you heard?

red2010z 05-17-2013 02:50 PM

Just read the comments on the Facebook post about making remarks like "Don't feel like getting stabbed" I seen photos from the new location and it looked like 300+ cars showed up and I did see a handful of Z's in the pictures.

red2010z 05-17-2013 02:51 PM

Cruise the Grid has a facebook. I seen a page for untamed performance also. Work with some guys in that car club. I hope the Z club in El Paso is strictly Z;s

stevent85 05-17-2013 02:55 PM

I think that z street is only z's of all years, and I think they have a Datsun......still a z though. Haha
