Poll: Which shade would you powdercoat the OEM NISMO Rays (Pics inside - 56K No way)

I'll be powdercoating my stock 19s something less common (towards the end of the spectrum I prefer). No traditional colors -- blacks, whites, shades of silver, gray, gunmetal, bronze, or gold. My car is Solid Red; photoshopped pics below: cast your vote! This car will be getting the full TT treatment in due time, so this thing will be wicked fast (justifying any remotely out there color). Which color combo is your favorite?

Hard choice but I'd have to go with neither of them.

Gold colour will be nice on Red colour car.

Go with the 40th Anniversary Quartz

or neon yellow :ugh2:

or whatever you want man

In my opinion, I try not to mix to many colors on a modded ride because it starts to look put-together-badly. If you look at our 370Z, we have chrome, brushed aluminum, black and body color. Thus is is difficult to try a different color and I think this why so many folks try to cover door handles, badging, etc to stick with two colors. Then they match those colors to their wheels. Having siad all of this, I would go with a black wheel to match the door handle and red to match the body color.

Haters gonna hate on the classic Red/Blue combination. They are both primary colors on the color wheel and go very well together. Plus, 'merica.

Looks kinda like a clown car. If your car was black, grey or white it would pull off the colored wheels better.

Keep the stock Nismo set oem color. Go and buy yourself a real set if your wanting a new color.

That costs money, my friend. Plus, silver is boring. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8333/8...424deeb4_z.jpg

This teal/red look works.

It does?

Sorry man. I'm in agreement with the consensus, here. Not really feeling any of the options provided.

Regardless, whatever you do...make sure you paint the center cap and the lugs. Yes the lugs will get chewed up because of tire service...etc but it'll be worth it, as long as you have some touch up paint.

Good luck with finding the right shade

Everyone's entitled to their opinions. Thanks all for the input. Got some thinking to do.

A nice rich blue would work.

synolimit 01-03-2014 03:00 AM

None here too.

exsanity 01-03-2014 04:18 AM

IMO, black, silver, or gun metal are the only options for red.
