18x9.5 Rota Grid

1. Anyone know if 18x9.5 Grids fit over sport brakes?
2. Will ET+20 with stretched tires fit the front with no rub under hard cornering?

I'm thinking of running these as a square setup with spacer in back.

You can afford a 370 and a GT-R and your going to run stretched tires on 9.5" Rotas on your Z?

Yup ;)

And thanks for the constructive reply.

So you are taking off the rays forged wheels for some knock off wheels....

And yes a 9.5+20 should have no rubbing issues for the fender but since there are not a lot of 370z guys running Rota wheels you may be the first to try this with Caliper to spoke clearance.

Rays are gonna be for DD, and Rotas for drift events. At least thats the plan now, if I like em I may sell the rays and get more Grids for backups.

The only thing I found is that 18" Rota DPT fit over sport brakes for someone on this forum. I would still like some sort of confirmation before buying.

This page lists that size/offset as appropriate for GT-R fitment. Should be fine.

Don't mention it.

This guy was running 19" +15's all around, I don't see 18's being an issue in the same offset given the wheel design

Yeah but those are 19"

BGTV8 03-27-2013 04:30 PM

I have had 18" Rota Grid on my car - took them off when shown images of a Rota wheel failure on a mates 300TT.

That said, I can vouch for 18 x 9.5 ET22 will clear Akebono calipers, but I would not put them back on my car.

DriftKr6l 03-27-2013 05:47 PM

Thanks man! Appreciated the confirmation!

Do you know the details of what and why failed?

I seen many many people use and abuse Rotas with no failures, personally I think the topis is blown out of proportion.
