Are they poking out at all or is it completely flush? It's hard to tell in the picture. Looks fantastic regardless though! Also, had a chance to really test out the handling?

Your Z looks great OP. Notice stronger understeer with the 305s?

SXZ34 03-04-2013 08:27 AM

Sorry guys. Got a few more shots Long weekend though so I literally fell asleep messing with loading more pics. I tossed Instagram on it otherwise you can't see the tires themselves without the help of some lighting effects.

SXZ34 03-04-2013 08:30 AM

LMBMikeZ just know that the re11 sidewalls are stiffer and you're gonna get more bulge from the Michelin's And I think they may be a tad wider than the re11's. so no guarantees on fitment with a different tire

Wheels are pretty stinkin flush, tire has a tiny poke past that but I like it
Haven't tested handling. Waiting till they are broken in. Possibly doing a mountain run in a couple weeks. Not sure yet though. They were slick leaving the shop but seem to have somewhat broken in. It was also cold as rip leaving too though

Haha. Thank you! By puny you mean your 285's huh? Such a sissy tire if I do say so myself. Belongs on a civic or something it's so small lol

The 285's should fill the fender gap more than the 305's? It's a larger diameter tire, as long as you get the 35 series. I myself am actually going with the 265/285 combo, as much as I love the wide look of the 305's, I just think it's almost overkill for our cars unless its turboed. I mean the oem sizes are already a bit wider than most other sports cars with similar power or even more. Your car does look great though .

I was joking... Hoped to make that clear. Haha. 285 is obviously not puny, but yeah 265/285 is a great setup from everything ive researched, and yes it will fill the gap better. Personal preference led my to push some limits and try the 305's maybe it is overkill... But why not!? Haha

They fit. 265/35/19 and 305/30/19 lowered on my swifts 20/25mm z1 spacers. No rubbing

Why 265/35/19 on the front and not 265/30/19 ??????

That's not near enough sidewall for me on a 265. I think most will agree. It also keeps the overall height of the tire closer to stock specs than a 30 profile

bigdog1250 04-02-2013 11:54 AM

Any comments on handling? I'm getting ready to replace my rears and am still debating 285 vs. 305. Definitely getting RE-11s

SXZ34 04-03-2013 01:31 AM

Well I can't speak for the 285, but I will probably try those next time, should fill up the fender well even better. Cheaper than the 305 and as stiff as the sidewall is on the re11bot really gonna change the contact patch that much. Vey happy with the 305 though. No complaints other than the time it took to squeeze such a wide tire onto the 10 in wheel
