Went from excited to "Should've sucked it up and purchased Volks..."

Thats strange, were the wheels purchased new or used? You didnt have a chance to put tires on for 2 years until recently? Whered you get the wheels from?

Forgestar really, really needs to modify their SUPER DEEP concave stuff to fit sport brakes and above

there's no point in super deep concave if you can't run it in front

like a ferrari that only goes fast in reverse

Do you guys offer any kind of warranty on powder coat? I've only had my wheels for 2 years and the paint is chipping off one wheel

The wheels were purchased new. I went through a few different cars (they were originally purchased for my GS430) and PCSd from England to Korea (where military below a certain rank can't own cars) to Germany so just sat until I ended up putting them on the Z. They were purchased through ModBargains.

I ended up getting the one that was out of round fixed locally on a lathe since it would've cost me more to send it back to the States, however I'm now trying to figure out if I have a rear wheel or tire out of round (Michelin PSS) because I have a shake from the rear around 80 and I've had the wheel/tire balanced multiple times and it just changes the speed at where the shake happens.

I'll admit they DO look great on the car and I get compliments all day long with them, but I won't be purchasing anything from Forgestar again. :shakes head:

Heres a set of 2 tone F14s we built for our customer's 370Z in our recommended 19x9.5/11 fitment. We had the faces brushed and the windows/barrels finished in gloss black.

Customer is running them with OEM sized 245/285s and KWV1s!

SDC fitment varies depending on the vehicle application.
The 370Z sport brakes stick out a lot (past the mounting point of the wheel)
So it is physically impossible for the wheel to clear the brakes and fit inside the fenders due the the size of the Akebonos. The wheel would hit the brakes.
Some cars like BMWs have very recessed brake calipers and can fit SDC all around.

Staggered concavity is pretty standard on staggered cars, just like the OEM Z wheels are more concave in the rear. Its not an issue for most people.

Forgestar offers a 1 year finish warranty on all the wheels, but it doesnt cover road hazard or rock chips. If you got the wheels form us, let me know and I can work up some special pricing for you on a refinish to help you out!

Its uncommon for Forgestars to be out of round brand, but not impossible. We check our wheels for roundness before shipping them out, so we're usually able to catch these issues before they go out (especially overseas!). But not sure about MB's process. Let me know if you needed help with a replacement wheel
Sorry about the issue, but its definitely not common.

They're probably one of the most popular wheels for the 370Z
Best bang for the buck in terms of looks, weight, and customization options.
Theres probably more Forgestars on 370Zs than any other aftermarket wheel out there.

shadow85 09-25-2016 06:11 PM

I must say, I do like the F14s. I may swap my stock oem Rays for them.

Since they are forged and leightweight like the rays, Im assuming I shouldn't lose any noticable performance.
