post pictures of 275/35/19's on factory nismo rims
Like the title says I wanna see these from any possible angle on factory nismo rims.
|
my next set will be 255/35/19 & 305/30/19.
i think that 275 is a bit much. i thought i read our cars start the have issues when the front tire gets to wide. something about the steering geometry. |
I've seen a couple people doing it... I haven't heard of any issues...
|
I got no problems with my 275/35-19 PSS on the front. Stock height.
|
Pictures?

If it's the s-tune fronts (9 in), then I concur |

i was refering to something i saw on here about guys moving up to a 10.5" rim width up front. that rim size along with wider tires causes some kind of adverse handling. i will try and search later for it.
but if thats all crap i heard then great! im glad we can go that wide! |

Problem is that you get a "mushroom" effect, the inside of the tires bubbles up if you go past 255/285 respectively This may sound moronic, but try swapping your wheels, put your fronts in the rear and vice versa. IMO you'll have more traction because there is more PSI on the rear tires and wider rubber up front will reduce your turning circle, but give better turn ins |

There is more pressure being applied to the road because the contact patch is smaller I have always thought the 370's tires were too wide for looks... My ISF has 245's on the REAR stock, and that has more power and grip than the 370 |

also you dont measure contact area by PSI. thats where you confused me. |

I still think the 370's rear tires are too wide for the power/downforce/weight it does or doesn't have, just my .02 |
agreed, it needs more power.
|
Op, are you on stock height? If you do go for 275 fronts, make sure you upload some pic, I'm very interested to see

This is a 275/35/19 on a 10.5" wheel which is the same width as the Nismo I believe just different offset. There's definitely a stretch there but its nothing crazy. Sidewall still sticks out. This is a 19x10.5 +22 offset with a 20mm spacer so essentially a 19x10.5 +2. Sticks out a bit. I plan on getting on Swift springs and will see how it looks from there. Might have to switch to 15mm cause they do stick out a bit in the pic although after having the OEM spring settle back down (it was on jacks for a good 30mins) it does look a bit better. Hope this helps!

Factory front Nismo rims are 9.5"... how is there that much of a stretch on a one inch wider rim?
|
JB you got me lost man....
|
Thats a 275 on a 10.5" wheel in the back. Sorry guys i thought thats what yall were asking for haha. 275 on a 9.5" wheel would probably bubble a little.
|
Alright I think I am going to stick with 265/285 set up on the Nismo then. Anyone have pictures of that? :)
