__SF-Challenges in Gold..with an added feature___
 

I figured I would toss up a little preview of my aftermarket rims..I know its not a 370z but its still in the Z family.

The added feature is a powdercoated barrel :D.
I'll be throwing up some nicer pics on monday after she's been washed and waxed.
oh and the red lugs are being done away with. Once I get the JDM tails there wont really be any red on my car. I'll be picking up some black ones next week.

the black lip makes the wheels look small overall..

I think they look pretty nice. Nobody appreciates Phantom Edition Volks I guess.

they are nice, but a full black lip throws ppl off....the black Z has a red pin stripe, which breaks the rim apart from the tire...you get what i mean...lol

A: repolish
B: gold TA stripe to match the spokes

I think they look great. My buddy did black barrels on his Kinesis wheels back in the day and I liked that look also. - >

I personally think they look great but they do make the rims look like 18's.
You should've just sold your rims before and gotten a new set of volks.
Clean ride though, can't deny that!

I was thinking about that..but the cheapest I could find gold volks in 19" 9.5 fornt and 10.5 rear were $3600 with tires...and they were GT30's

Its been about 2 years and Iv been eyeballin sf challenges since the beginning. Buyin' them new woulda run me around $5k with tires...$850 a rim and avg $275 a tire plus a 2 to 3 month wait..forget that.

Dont think I didnt look for a good..2 months while the funds were accumulating.

Before you do the polish definitely try the gold pinstripe around I think that will complete the look. I have to agree right now that it really takes away from the size and look of the wheel.

lol, sadly that pic in my sig is photoshopped..did it about a year ago. Put the rims, jdm tails, and the spoiler I wanted on the car just to see how it looked. The original picture is of a stock Z.:rolleyes:

Keep it like it is man - your wheels look hawt - no one cares about how "big" the wheel looks... at least you shouldn't

No pinstripe - I think if you do the inner lip of ur wheel in silver that wld fix the issue.

That's clean, I always liked Volk Challenges...the original ones. But yeah, your car is tastefully done.

Would it be radical to have the lip the same colour as the spokes??

Just discovered this thread - #5 is the way to go.

I really like the uniqueness those wheels give your car, but i think that white on the wheels would be too gay - Gold pinstripe is good, red is a bit ott.
