Tire brand mix match

I have a set of PS2's on my 370z with about 400 miles on them. The problem is I got too small of a tire for the rear (285's on a 10.5 wheel) and have a bit of a stretch on them.

I am wanting to upgrade to 305's on the rear but don't want to shell out the money for PS2's again.

Would it be ok to put some NITTO's on the back while keeping the PS2's on the front? I don't want any comfort/alignment issues or noise issues.

usually it is not recommended to do so....but anyways, i would probably do it too if i were in ur case....i dont think there would be comfort or alignment issues

there's no PS2 in 305 sizes?? if there is, get the same model...why worry

As long as the rear tires are both the exact same then I think you're good. From what I have been told, what you don't want to do is have two different sizes or tread patterns on the drive wheels because they will turn at different speeds and will ruin your diff.

hope you like some mad oversteer man... if you drive w/ VDC off - get ready for the slip :p and kiss your skid pad goodbye

OK, I am getting the feeling that I better stick with the same brand or replace them all with a different brand.

Damn expensive tires. I love them, but god they are expensive

255/35ZR-19 Front & 285/35ZR-19 Rear

how come both tires have 35....the rear tires must be taller than the fronts right now

try to get 305's in the PS2's...i know there are not cheap either

your correct, just a bit taller, but the stretch keeps it almost the same hight as the fronts. Overall, it just doesnt jive. I guess I am going to bite the bullet and get the 305/30 PS2's on the back

If anyone is interested, I will have (2) 285/35 PS2's with 400 miles on them for a REAL GOOD PRICE soon.

Is 285 really stretched on a 10.5" wheel?

Different tires in the rear will be fine, just make sure they offer similar or even better grip than the fronts.

And wow, a 305/30/19 PS2 is $500 a pop....way too much. For a 305/30/19, I'd consider the Bridgestone RE-11 and for a 295, I'd look at the yokohoma AD08.

kind of hard to see the rears, but they are too stretched for my taste & the profile makes it a bit too high. I like a wall with the majority of the tread on the road. I will post closer pictures tomorrow.
