negative, the rears are actually almost a pound lighter. 23.8lb for stock vs. 23 for the tsw's.

nurburgrings ftw

was simply answering a question.

but... since u asked....

The Effects of Rotational Inertia on Automotive Acceleration

there's some reading and calculating if anyone is bored

same weight savings in the front actually ~.8lbs (22.4 vs 23.2)

a rough rule of thumb to go by is, every 1 lb of rotational mass removed (depending on where in the wheel its removed) = about 5-10 lbs of static mass lost (again, it varies on where the weight is taken out in the wheel). in the case of the nurburgrings, the weight is mainly reduced on the outside, leading to a more dramatic effect on the weight reduction: sited http://www.tsw.com/alloy_wheels_nurburgring.php) so in these wheels case we will split the difference and say the weight reduction is = to ~ 7.5 lbs of static weight

SOOOO basically IF each wheel is 1 lb lighter you are essentially losing ~30 lbs of static weight. and since a rough estimate for weight loss vs power gained is ~10lbs lost = 1 hp gained THEN a person would attain a feeling of adding 3hp by adding these wheels.

:tiphat:
